Meet the Authors
David Sinden, Matthew Morgan and Guy Macdonald met at school in Kent, England and have been friends ever since.
David Sinden was born in 1973. He grew up on a small farm in the countryside, and kept chickens, ducks, geese, sheep and dogs. If he weren’t writing, he would be a painter or a vet. He?s 6?5? with big silly hair, and on roller skates is over 7 feet tall. An Awfully Beastly Business is his second series of books, the first being YUCK, which he co-writes with Matt . His favorite beast is the biganasty.
Matthew Morgan was born in 1971. At the age of eight, he wrote a story about going to the moon and decided he wanted to be a writer. He left school, went to college, and travelled around the world before writing the brilliantly funny YUCK series of books with Dave and embarking on An Awfully Beastly Business. His favorite beast is the redback sea monster and his dream is to go to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat.
Guy Macdonald was born in 1972. He grew up in an old Victorian funeral parlor, and his bedroom was the Chapel of Rest where the bodies were laid out. He has always felt at home among the supernatural, and loves a good ghost story. Before writing An Awfully Beastly Business, he wrote a guidebook to England, for which he spent five years travelling the country, visiting almost every town, village and haunted house. His favorite beast is the bulltoxic.
